Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Exeter midfielder David Wheeler. The tricky winger leaves St James’ Park after four years with the club, and helped lead them to last seasons League Two play off final where they lost out to Blackpool.
Wheeler chipped in with 21 goals in all competitions last season and with that tally, he was the clubs top scorer. If he can repeat this feat for QPR then he could prove to be a huge asset. Alongside his scoring ability, Wheeler offers versatility as he can play a number of positions including up front and wing back.
Wheeler completes his move to QPR for an undisclosed fee, and will have to adapt to life in the Championship, but if he settles in and shows the form he has shown for Exeter City he is sure to be a fans favourite.
