Ross Barkley has just rejected a move to Chelsea in the past few moments, despite the clubs agreeing a deal worth £35m.
Is this a good move on his part? Yes and No, realistically he isn’t good enough for Chelsea and the squad they have.
After the recent saga he has had after rejecting a new contract with Everton, he won’t get into the squad now. With the new additions of Klaassen and Sigurdsson it is hard to see Barkley been first choice and could find himself down the order in terms of getting picked for the starting XI.
Barkley has less then a year left on his contract and could leave Goodison Park at the end of this season on a free transfer, but with this unexpected u-turn and the England international on his way back to Everton, it remains to be seen if he will sit down with manager Ronald Koeman and possibly sign a new deal.
What do you think Everton fans? Are you happy that Barkley has stayed or do you want rid of him?
