Bolton should look to sign this former PSG midfielder on a free transfer

Bolton have had a dreadful start to their Championship campaign as they sit rock bottom of the table without a win in eight league games. Some good news for Bolton fans is that the club has had their transfer embargo lifted meaning they can sign players for a fee in January but that may be too late.

Well, we have come up with the perfect solution in the form of a free agent who came through the ranks at PSG and has a wealth of Premier League experience. The man I am referring to is powerful midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu.

Mulumbu was a rock during his time at West Brom and in parts during his time with Norwich but with the club wanting a different style of play Mulumbu has been left without a club.

Bolton are crying out for a player of Mulumbu’s stature as he can take command of the midfield and hold onto the ball which is something The Wanderers have struggled with this season. Surely with the way their season is going it is worth taking a risk with Mulumbu, who will require a few weeks to regain his full fitness, in order to regain their Championship status?

Bolton have been conceding many goals recently and not scoring enough which is reflected in their minus twelve goal difference. Mulumbu could be a player that will contribute to both areas as he can be a menace in the box but also a work horse tracking back which is everything that Phil Parkinson needs for his side right now.

Bolton fans would you take Mulumbu at this moment in time? Let us know in the comments section below…
