Two huge reasons why Liverpool should stick with Jürgen Klopp
Liverpool haven’t had the best of starts this season it’s fair to say. The clubs lack of activity in the transfer market coupled with the unsettling Coutinho saga has blown over into Liverpool’s performances on the pitch and at the moment they’re struggling. The Anfield club lost to bitter rivals Manchester City 5-0 at The Etihad and have since been knocked out of the Carabao Cup away at Leicester.
Some of the fans on the red side of Liverpool have voiced their opinion that the club should part ways with current manager Jürgen Klopp. Although this is a minority of supporters with each poor result the minority grows and grows.
With this in mind we have compiled two reasons as to why Liverpool shouldn’t sack Jürgen Klopp and instead should back him and his transfer targets.
1. Who else could they get?
Jürgen Klopp is without a doubt one of the best managers in world football and for me there has been a massive improvement compared to when Brendan Rodgers was at the club. So if Liverpool took the plunge and sacked the German who could they get to replace him? There are no managers who we could see going to Liverpool who are better than the German coach. All of the top managers are in good jobs and it is highly likely they wouldn’t leave their post. One option would be Ancelotti who is on thin ice at Bayern Munich but realistically Jürgen Klopp is the better coach of the two.
2. The transfer window wasn’t his fault.
So many fans have criticised Jürgen Klopp saying that he is deluded for not signing a centre-back and that he should’ve just sold Coutinho. Surely if every average fan can see that Liverpool needed a centre-back then Jürgen Klopp would’ve known that too. I would ask questions of the board instead who no doubt failed to get the targets that Jürgen Klopp wanted and also decided to reject huge amounts of money for Coutinho who clearly didn’t want to be there.
