Is it time to switch the capital for Merseyside?
Chelsea look set to complete a move for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley this month, and despite the Merseyside outfit looking set to complete the signing of Cenk Tosun from Besiktas to add firepower up front, could the club benefit from adding another striker to their ranks.
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has become a forgotten man at Stamford Bridge and has had to play second fiddle to Alvaro Morata, but in the World Cup year could the Belgian striker switch the capital for Merseyside?
The Telegraph reported that Antonio Conte had said that both he and David Luiz were free to leave Stamford Bridge this month if they wished to, and if he is to be on the plane to Russia he is going to need to get game time under his belt to impress Roberto Martinez.
Despite Everton looking to bring in Cenk Tosun, they could look to bring in another striker who has Premier League experience and Batshuayi fits the bill. The Belgian has 9 goals to his name in all competitions this season adding to his tally of 11 in all competitions in his first season in the Premier League, showing he has an eye for goal and if given regular game time he could become a prolific goalscorer.
