Is this Premier League striker the man to fire the Canaries to the Championship playoffs?

Norwich City have turned their fortunes around over the festive period with two victories and one draw which has seen them rise to 13th in the Championship table. Under manager Daniel Farke the ‘Canaries’ have struggled to find the back of the net though in the league campaign as they have only scored 26 goals, something which the German manager will need to address this transfer window.

The club have Cameron Jerome, Nelson Oliveira and Marley Watkins as registered first team strikers, but with Oliveira leading the trio with 7 goals on the goalscoring charts, it is clear to see that the club need to add some firepower to their team.

With that in mind, the club should turn their attention to West Ham striker Diafra Sakho.

Diafra Sakho – The Senegalese striker wants a move away from the Olympic Stadium and tried to force through a transfer in the summer to French club Rennes but that failed to get completed.

Since coming to England Sakho, has had a decent return in front of goal as he found the back of the net 12 times in all competitions in his first season with the club, before going on to score 7 goals last season. This season he has found game time hard to come by but with his previous season’s record, it shows if given games he will score goals.

He is a wanted man this month as Swansea City are also rumoured to be looking to complete a deal for him, so Norwich would have to move quickly, but he is a player that certainly could help fire the club up the Championship table.

Norwich fans would you like to see Diafra Sakho at Carrow Road? Do you believe you need a striker or should money be spent elsewhere? Let us know in the comments section…
