AFC Wimbledon yesterday signed the top-rated England Under 20 Goalkeeper, Nathan Trott, from West Ham.
Trott, although having just signed a new contract with West Ham, is keen to test himself in league Football and opted to join AFC Wimbledon on loan for the season, after meeting AFC Wimbledon Manager Wally Downes and speaking with last season’s AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale.
Ramsdale spoke with passion about how the spell with The Dons helped him as a keeper and Trott is very hopeful that he can push on and showcase his talents in the league this coming season.
The goalkeeping posistion is one AFC Wimbledon have struggled with last season for a number of different reasons. Nathan Trott will be hoping for similar success and has talked up his chances of progression, stating AFC Wimbledon were his best option for a number of different reasons as he explains,
With anticipation for the upcoming season building, it will be interesting to see how Trott fares.
