Chesterfield have struggled so far this season as they find themselves in 22nd in the League Two table, but back to back victories have given Jack Lester’s side hope of beating the League Two drop.
Leading goalscorer Kristian Dennis has been linked with a move to Bradford City but the club today have confirmed the offer for the striker was rejected. Dennis who has 14 goals for the club is the only striker to have hit double figures so far this season, and with the club embroiled in a relegation battle his goals are going to be crucial to stay up, but the club are also going to need to add to the strikeforce to help take the goalscoring burden off him.
With this in mind, the club should turn their attention to Ricky Miller.
Ricky Miller – The striker only joined Peterborough United in the summer, but the move hasn’t worked out for him. Having scored 40 goals in the National League for Dover Athletic, it shows that he clearly has natural goalscoring ability and could be the perfect fit for Chesterfield to help them stay in the Football League.
As well as being able to play as the central striker, Miller also offers versatility as he can also operate from wide.
